As we move into the 5th month of the Oprah Winfrey Network, here is one thing that remains sure and steady….Gayle.  In the second week of the year, OWN brought us The Gayle King Show.  So, let me be the first to admit…while I LOVE Gayle, I am not a Sirus Radio subscriber.  The most I knew of Sirus was either in a rental car or watching a Harry Potter movie. (I moved to free web radio a LONG time ago…)  So, I had no idea what to expect with Gayle. 

After a little roughness in the beginning, here are just some of the things that I have found with Gayle.

• She’s a little quirky with her mommie hugs, love of singing on camera and shoutouts, but she is REAL…and I appreciate that.
• She gives me world updates and media news in short, quick bites so that I am in the know.
• She talks to her guests like they are friends…
• She keeps it current.
• She is not afraid…or at least if she is, it doesn’t show.
• She makes me want to be her friend…which is why I sit down with her every day.

For OWN, Gayle has been the one constant in the schedule.  Every day…I know that I can turn on OWN, hear the silly Gayle song and wake up and find something to smile about, talk about or laugh about.  Thank GOD for Gayle…until OWN finds the sweet spot for their other programing and stops the scheduling insanity, we know that Gayle will be there for us…each and every morning.
