Happy Friday and HELLO Weekend! Gayle’s had a long week…and while mine has not been as exciting…I’m ready for the weekend. Gayle was in a big OWN meeting yesterday. Wonder if she was there for her BFF as she took on the Cable-ites with her big discussion yesterday at The Cable Show 2011 in Chicago. Anyway, Gayle sure does get her share of hard flights…but she sure doesn’t have good seat next to her karma. The guy was a jerk. OK…he was just not nice. Gayle…I’d hold your hand if you needed me to. I have family AND friends who often grab my hand while flying…and it’s no big deal. I like to think that when I travel, I’m part of the “friendly skies.” 🙂 Onto the show.
- On Robin Roberts interview with the President to talk about Father’s Day -…but somehow, Wiener got into the conversation. “Obviously this has been a hard time for Congressman Wiener,” he says. “I’m confident that he’ll refocus and be able to bounce back.” So well said, Mr. President. Everybody…can we please move ON? I haven’t heard “wiener” so much since kindergarten.
- On Dirk Nowitzki , the NBA MVP singing – Oh No…please no. Gayle shows a clip. Good thing he can play basketball. Just sayin…drunken karaoke anyone?
- On Liza’s new album,CD “Confessions” – Talking about life and everything else, Liza and Gayle sit down for a chat…like old friends. Home jam sessions at Liza’s and impromtu parties. Just a little look into her life…and into being Liza. Do you have a favorite memory of your mom? “Laughing when we used to make taffy…” she remineses. And her love life…slow but going. Hello Liza…she wants “an older man with a lot of money, a 40 year old filled with passion, and a lovely young man who I see twice a week and don’t know his name. ” She’s got a plan. Watch out. She’s a hoot. Here are some highlights, thanks to OWN!
- On Father’s Day – Don’t forget this Sunday to celebrate the Father’s in the world. Here’s a little pre-celebration with Dwayne Wade. Take a look.
- On Fran Drescher’s Life becoming a Sitcom – OMG. I often THINK my life could be a sitcom…but Fran definately beat me out with her new show. Her real life…she was married for years and years to Peter…divorced and then…her husband came out to the world. Her friend since High School…it was complicated. So now, TVLand is smart enough to do a show loosly based on the overall theme. “Happily Divorced.” Can’t wait! I could use a little laughter each week….and this show looks promising!
Happy Friday everyone…go out and ENJOY your LIFE!
