Good Morning Gayle….thanks for braving the friendly skies and getting back to the East coast…I’m thinking with all of the traveling, maybe you need to have a crew on the West coast too. It would sure make your life easier, don’t you think? Anyway….onto the day!
- About Oscar Weekend and the flights…Gayle is on too many planes and with too many bad experiences. Travel safe!
- About the Oscar’s recap – What did you think? Looks like the numbers are down….Anne Hathaway and James Franco…I think they were cute…and I love James Franco…but Justin Timberlake would be soooooooooo funny. I thought the show was great too Gayle…I just wish that James had mentioned that he was tweeting video of the show too…maybe the show could have actually gotten a little more techy and given us a peak at that as he tweeted it. Yes, I did just say ‘techy.’ Don’t beat up the hosts…it was all on the producers if you didn’t like it. I actually did like it….and I’ve got a new phrase – “Going all-Oscar on the situation…on you…on me” which means … dropping the “F-bomb” usually because you are too excited to think before you speak – like Melissa Leo, Best Supporting Actress winner this year. Too funny. That one was from my sister….and will totally be used.
- About Charlie Sheen – The Gayle Montage…Stan Rosenfeld resigned as Charlie’s publicist…and I totally understand this! And what is this “goddesses” BS? He’s just too high that he can’t remember their names. “I’m on the bus and I don’t really care where the bus is going,” says one of them. Well, this bus is going to crash….it is out of control….like the one in the movie; “Speed”….do we need Sandra and Keanu to save the day? Oh….even they can’t help this. I can tell the future though, and I see the California Department of Famly and Social Services visiting him in his near future…don’t you?
- About Christiane Amanpour’s interview with Gaddafi in Libya – with the crazy man behind he curtain….or wearing the curtain …. Crazy … history unfolding in front of us. Be careful Christiane….
- About Addiction and Charlie Sheen – He looks like hell…and he sounds worse. “Let him go…the most loving thing that family can do is to step up out of it and let the natural consequences of his addition occur…” says Addition Specialist, Kristina Wandzilak. “Did CBS do the right thing with pulling the plug on his show,” Gayle asks Kristina. “I believe that CBS might have saved his life. I believe it was the most appropriate and professional and healthy decision they could have made,” responds Kristina. “If his behavior isn’t from using….then he clearly has some kind of metal illness going on….”responds the specialist. It’s clear he needs help. His behavior on all of these shows just makes him completely unlikable. While I agree with Piers Morgan….that his personal life, is his personal life…today, we live in the age of accountability. I don’t want to watch someone out of control with a sad life of drugs and alcohol spiral out of control. The TV show – one of my favorites – started becoming too reality based…and too real within the last few months. It’s not funny any longer to watch someone do this to their life….because it’s real…and what it is is really really SAD.
- About is sex addition really an addiction? – hmmmm…..good topic…not always clear cut. I can understand being addicted to love…and I guess I can understand being addicted to sex. “….however, it is becoming a catch-all excuse for bad behavior,” says one viewer. Yes, this I agree with. Gayle, I understand your position. Destructive behavior….often looks like people behaving badly.
- About Natalie Morales on mommy guilt – I’m not a mom…but I understand this from talking to my sister…and any guilt that comes has to be outweighed by thousands of memories of good things. Just love them…just love your kids….and read the article, “Nobody’s Perfect” from Natalie and tell me what you think.
- About Justin Bieber turning 17….and finally, admitting that Selena Gomez is his girlfriend? Happy Birthday and Finally.
- About Oprah’s last Oscar show…love it!…hate it. I’m going to miss it!….now, on to live our best lives….or at least give it our best shot!
