What is it with David Letterman and the O women? Rosie didn’t take long to reply to the Late Night’s host unpleasant remarks about her on his talk show following the announcement of her engagement. Clearly not in her “happy place” Ro couldn’t help but state “I don’t remember making fun of you when you had sex with all of your interns, Dave” and then proceeded to give him the top 5 reasons she never would appear on his show. You have to see this!
But leave it to Rosie to quickly balance the drama with humor. She showed a clip of a TV commercial that I would have sworn was a joke. The product a gaydar gun….yes, seriously!
After all the fun and games, Rosie welcomed Duane Chapman, known to the world as Dog the Bounty Hunter, to the show. I have seen him on occasion but never really watched the shows. I would occasionally catch a glimpse as my nephew and his friends would have him on. Honestly I wasn’t really drawn to the show. However after watching him and his wife Beth on “The Rosie Show” I am feeling a bit guilty about some of my subconscious judgment (working on that) I may have been throwing around. A child who was raised by a strict mother and an abusive father, Duane found himself on a road that eventually led him to prison for being involved in a murder and not calling the police. Upon his release, he vowed to turn his life around, become a bounty hunter and bring prisoners where they belonged – back to jail. After 28 years, he has brought in over 6,000 fugitives. Amazing! Duane shared stories of how he became the warden’s barber, how his nickname was related to his religious beliefs and how he got the idea for the show when he chased a friend down in prison. Hear the incredible story!
It wasn’t always easy for Beth and Duane in their relationship, but they seem to have their priorities straight. With 12 children between them, it has become all about family and many of them are actually involved in the family business. Now listen in to how Duane and Beth first met.
I must admit they seem a little crazy – I mean to chase wanted fugitives you’d have to be a little right? I did completely agree with Beth when she was talking about Sandusky. The first time I saw her was on Rosie when she skyped in to talk about the initial bond release. Check out what Beth thought of the bond Sandusky was released on after his second arrest and their opinions on the case.
Of course with the bounty hunter family in attendance, there was no way Rosie could pass up a specialty game that Dog and Beth should have no problem getting….doodlez mug shot edition! To keep it fair, Ro did split them up and give them partners. Enjoy the clip!
