So often when people come to me wanting to vent, I jump into the conversation in hopes of making it better…or changing their perception of the event. Thinking that this brings comfort, I fail to truly listen compassionately. This lesson shared by Buddhist Monk, Thich Nhat Hanh, opened my eyes to a simpler and more real process. It doesn’t have to be complicated…yet somehow we often make it so. Take a few moments to be reminded of this great lesson!
