Years ago, I found a priest with a message – “Never Give Up.”  He photo copied thousands and thousands of pieces of paper with this saying on it…signed it and sent it out into the world.  I wasn’t Catholic…and wasn’t particularly fond of the institution of religion for very personal reasons…but was pretty spiritual and found a connection with his message and his spirit.  This one message, I heard clearly… “Never Give Up!  God never gave up on you…” he would say.  This was his spiritual slogan and if a priest ever had a marketing plan…this was his tag line. So, I remember these three words often…when emotions take over or life gets hard…or when things get so heavy that it feels like I can no longer go on.  I remember those three words like they are ingrained in my soul.  I remember those three words when I can no longer stand or see the way.   Never give up…No matter what…Never give up.
