Gayle starts out smiling…and telling us about Oprah’s Oscar Award for her humanitarian award over the weekend. Amazing woman, teacher, spirit! We love you Oprah! Can’t wait to see it on the Oscar’s! Ok…onto the show! Looks like Gayle is not holding back (except for commenting on all the CBS morning show rumors…) and has LOTS to give us for a Monday morning, so let’s get started!
•About Mayor Cory Booker – Gayle’s Plus One…but friends only. It’s just FUN to see these two talking and just sharing. A real friendship…you can tell how well they get a long by how easy the conversation flows. I have to say, I started following Mayor CB because he IS friends with Gayle and he’s so inspiring. You can just feel his good spirit and great intentions. And handsome too! Gayle…I know you don’t want to mess up a great thing, but his smile is a little melting… just sayin! Anyway, it’s great listening in on a smart conversation about politics, Obama, the world, Penn State, and more. Just a joy to be watching it!

•About Babies vs. Puppies – Animal Planet has a new show…the battle of the cute, “Puppies vs. Babbies.” Babies. Adorable. Puppies. Adorable. Can’t we just have a win-win thing happen here? Marina Franklin and Sherrod Small are weighing in on this topic. Oh…I love babies…but the PUPPIES so win on all of these. Hands down…Today, puppy love.

•About SVU’s Danny Pino – Looking so cute, Danny’s smiling and relaxed and ready to talk “Law and Order,” and telling us what it’s like to be the new kid on the block.

•About Penn State and What Matters Most, the Victims – Howard Fradkin, Psychotherapist, is talking about how victims all over are feeling re-traumatized with the story coming out. It’s about the victim more than about the perpetrator or the school. How strong these men are for coming forward and for being so strong. You may not realize it, but you are changing the world…and for all of us watching…we can be the change as well. If you see something, say something. If you feel uncomfortable, ask yourself why. Howard talks about recovery and how “when you are abused, you learn to be loyal to dysfunction. To recover you have to be loyal to function…and they are doing this by speaking the truth.” Howard goes on to tell us that all of us are traumatized by this news story. “Keep speaking until somebody listens to you,” Gayle reminds us of Oprah’s words. “A teachable moment for us all.”
•And… 3 Things to Know with Mariah Carey…3 Things to Know About Twins and Dem’Babbies – 1. Be prepared and strong physically. 2. Distribute your time equally and 3. It’s the most incredible gift. Take a listen…
Now…I wonder what kind of whispers about Gayle will happen today…hmmm…..
