Gayle is looking pretty in yellow…Happy Easter and Happy Good Friday!
About Gayle on Oprah – Gayle made her last appearance yesterday on the Oprah show. So sad…
About the Royal Wedding – Gayle has been purposefully holding back…to not overdo it. But now…with one week to go, she’s ready to talk! Yes, Gayle. I will be up and watching. Want to tweet about it? So, between the 2 of them, 6 ex’s are invited to the wedding. How progressive…it really just depends on that ex…and if they are a “crazy ex.”
About Gas Prices on the Rise – Slugging in Seattle – Single Hitchhiking…to just get around because the gas prices have gotten so out of control. Gayle talks about when she started driving, gas was 36 cents a gallon. I remeber when spare change was gold when I was in high school. Gas prices. Crazy. Soon, it will cost too much to even go to work. Ridiculous. Glad that the Attorney General is looking into the prices…because it feels totally like we are being taken advantage of.
About Donald Trump – He’s crazy. He’s being mean to Seinfeld. Trump – YOUR FIRED. Move on Gayle…
About the Royal Wedding and John Avlon’s views on it – Emotional investment to many people…and John appreciates that but for people under 30, he thinks “it’s less than relevant.” “Everytime the media does a victory lap on this show, it’s taking away from something more relevant….” It’s clear he won’t be watching….or at least not admitting it. Whatever John, we LOVE a LOVE story.
About The Judds on LIFE and on OWN- LOVE Wynonna and Naomi and Gayle asks the question that we all want asked. Who had the hair color first? Wynonna first…and then Naomi. Really, it’s the hairdresser they share…and it works for them.
Getting more serious, these women have powerful hearts…telling their truths and sharing the story. An incredible journey that we get to see each week on The Judds on OWN. If you haven’t seen the show, take a look. I’m not a big country western fan…but now, I am a big Judd’s fan. Gayle asks Naomi about sexual abuse and neglecting her daughters… and Wynonna tells us that she “…didn’t have a sense of self…I had a sense of duet but I did nothing without a ‘vote’ from someone else…” but now, she’s empowered herself…and in a sense, she’s in the process of growing into her true self.
When Gayle asks about their family, here is what we hear. Intimacy is having each other. It’s not being famous or wealthy. “I miss my sister,” Wynonna says. “We all have our different voices and our opinions and realities, but we all love each other and we all show up for each other and we support each other…but we don’t always agree.” WOW…that’s my family We always show up for each other. I know how lucky I am. Now, I know how lucky they are too!
About CNN’s I-Report Winner, Jason Sauter – On his way with his girlfriend, Nancy, to the Royal Wedding…to be the man (and woman) on the ground. We’ll all be watching! Cheers!
