If you remembered to log onto twitter tonight, you were able to take part of something truly special!  As Oprah Winfrey, Gayle King, Sheri Salata, Cristina Ferrare and many more OWN Network and Harpo team members got the excitement rolling, the rest of us waited in anticipation.

My sister and I found ourselves watching the hours tick away…. getting more and more excited about the upcoming tweet-a-thon.   Giving updates and counting down, we were unable to sit still.  Suddenly my sister decided she had a new goal to focus on….making #OprahLiveTweet as a “Top Trend” on twitter.

With a few tweets and requests out, we set out to make it happen.  Starting out there was a slow response and some didn’t see the purpose.  One tweeter commented “Probably cuz Oprah’s desires r to help others not so much promote herself, so God fulfills these wishes”.  To which we merely replied “BUT nothing wrong w/ promoting fun & conversations about living your best life. We need more positivity!”  

With help from some Oprah friends and even a mention from Oprah, by the time the tweet-a-thon was about 20 minutes in, Oprah did it!   With the first suggestion around 5pm (Why isn’t OPRAH twitter trending yet? Need your help – Please RT this & lets get her there!  #OprahLiveTweet)….in a little over than 3 hours, Oprah was trending on twitter WORLDWIDE.  Yes, we know!  The OWN Network isn’t even worldwide yet.  We don’t think anyone was surprised, but we are so happy to have taken part in helping her to get there.  Thanks again to Gayle,  Nate & our AWESOME followers for helping us get the word out.  (Note: before we get a lot of people saying it, we know we didn’t do it! It was all Oprah and her fans, like us coming together.)

High hopes and questions ready, people showed up to tweet and watch the Season 25: Behind the Scenes show with Oprah.  So many people, so many #oprahlivetweet questions and not enough time for Oprah team members to answer.  Matter of fact…only a small number of people were able to get a shout out.  However, it is hard to watch an awesome show AND tweet out about it – I KNOW!
