In case you missed it, during the #OprahLiveTweet on Twitter last night, Oprah tweeted that “There will be more Master Classes with Bono, Jane Fonda, Bruce Springsteen, Chris Rock, Diana Ross and Barbara Walters.” Fantastic news for fans of this amazing show on OWN. If you haven’t seen one yet, you should tune in and check them out.

CANT WAIT TO SEE BONO!!!!!!! I love this show! Truly inspiring! Thanks for the update. I was not able to join in the Oprah Live Tweet last night. 🙁
I think my favorite master class has been Oprah. In fact, I was never an Oprah fan until I saw her connect the dots of her life – I understand why a master class would include famous people but what about the lessons many of us learn through our lives, why are these lessons any less valid then someone famous? Why is my life not a best seller? I lost my mother at 13, married and divorced in my 20’s, remarried and became a step parent, been through marriage counseling, am raising our biological son whose closest sibling is 20. I am brining my elderly father to live with us. Professionally, I have worked in non–profits my entire life, with “at-risk youth,” people with mental illness … etc. Average Josephines have something to say. I have two ideas for topics to address .. step families (they are the norm) and the sandwich generation, I am now an expert on each.
Hello Average Josephine – I hear you…and I love your thoughts on topics. It’s the new normal for a lot of people…that’s why so many people love “Modern Family”…because what a “family” is looking like is a little different than what television has shown us for so many years. I would love to hear some of your lessons…I am sure that you have many. I see Oprah’s Master Class as a vehicle…to start these kinds of conversations and for us to look at our own lives for our own lessons. What is even better is if we pass those lessons along… I think there are lots in the “sandwich generation” that are amazing…for just doing what they need to do. The truth is…I think we all have lessons…and I think we all have something to learn from each other. Listening and learning is what I feel like I do with MasterClass…it helps me connect with different successful people in the world and understand that it’s not about where you have been…or what college you went to…or what opportunity was there for you…it’s what you learn while you are on the journey. We are all a Master Class…we are all students and we are all teachers! 🙂
