OWN brought us a new show last night with Super Saver Showdown and reminded us that friendly competition can be as simple as saving a little money and thinking out of the box.  With a little whimsical savings and design premise, it actually had me sitting and pulled into the moment. 

For the show, two normal people come together and are given a mission. Plan a party on a budget. Use your coupons.  Use your creativity. Do the best job and win $10,000. As I watched, it reminded me a little of the old TLC show Trading Spaces meets every day Martha Stewart party ideas…but this time you are pulled into the lives a little of these planners and these families as well as getting some good tips and tricks for your own lives. It’s a cute show…and I can see it catching on. Only thing is, buy the end of the show I wanted them both to win.  Cheer on your favorites on Super Saver Showdown.
