Chelsea Handler was in rare form on “The Rosie Show.” Not because she was her hilarious self, but instead for showing us a side of herself that we seldom get a glimpse at. Raised in a nice neighborhood in New Jersey, Chelsea’s life wasn’t perfect. Chelsea went on to discuss the lasting impression of the death of her mother and brother.
No one should have to watch a loved one pass away. But luckily it meant for Chelsea that she had a chance to say good-bye. However no one is ever ready to hear those last requests. Moments that change our lives and define the future in many ways.
After losing her mother, life dramatically changed. But the loss wasn’t the first her family had endured. Despite knowing her mother was dying, her oldest brother passed away quickly when she was just 10 years old. Falling off a a cliff in Tetons, the family was completely thrown for a loop. They had a hard time moving on and her parents never really recovered from the loss of their first child.
The conversation soon took a lighter shift. Talking openly about sex and her pregnancy and abortion at 16, I was amazed at how free she was with her life. She knew exactly what she wanted and it wasn’t parenthood. Even in her career, she has always seems to make great choices. Not only is her plate full…it appears to be a platter. Giving us the inside scoop on Chelsea Lately and After Lately, she went on to share behind the scene moments of her new sitcom, Are You There, Chelsea?. It looks amazing! Not that she isn’t busy enough, Chelsea is also in an upcoming movie, This Means War with Reese Witherspoon. I was always been a huge fan of the outspoken Chelsea Handler, but I must say….I love her even more after hearing her personal story. Thanks, Chelsea and thanks OWN!
