Change is still in bloom at The Rosie Show. Now with candid moments….which I hope continue and a new intro that I must admit totally threw me back to old “In Living Color” days. Entering on Google Pete’s cue, Rosie took her place in front of the new skittles couch. Announcing that she is attempting to be a spokesperson for a weight loss program, her raw honesty about her weight has always been refreshing. There are enough people out there trying to pretend they have no issues and eat anything they want. Finally there is someone who is honest and REAL. Within moments she moved on to focus group concerns and I thought to myself….Rosie, you don’t need a focus group. Be nice and find your groove and all the rest comes together. I am certain when Oprah began the focus groups were up in arms. Truth – people don’t always understand change until after it happens. I honestly believe what is happening on OWN will be a TV revolution. Just go with your gut. Plus if you REALLY want to know something….just ask us. Really! SO, after Rosie told us all the story about the British Airway fiasco, she announced that once again she locked herself out of the house. This time it was before the holidays and in order to do the story justice, they broke it down in sections and told this portion today.
In true Ro fashion, she showered her neighbors an overwhelming amount of gratitude….legos and a piano for the kids, a lifetime of socks for the dad, a Keurig for the mom and a trip for all of them to Legoland in Florida. It was very sweet.
Ricki Lake made her way to the stage in full Lego envy. I am surprised with all the staff that the Legos actually made it into the basket…unopened. As someone who has spent thousands of dollars on Legos, I wonder if they have the same issue. My nephew NEVER wanted to take them apart and insisted on displaying them in my house….not his. He preferred my display areas better. Finally at 13 and not really interested anymore, most of the rare and hard to find Star Wars “displays” are finally in his room own room. SO glad to be past that stage but must admit….I LOVED having a decade to build them with him. No back to Ricki! She looked awesome. Discussing everything from life after “Dancing with the Stars” to getting married and writing a book, she looked the happiest I have ever seen her. In a nice surprise she broadcasted that she was going to do a daytime talk show again. With everything falling into place, she shared how her and her fiancé decided to handle the wedding.
