The holiday spirit is coming to OWN! On December 7th, the award-winning documentary, “Becoming Santa” will debut on the Oprah Winfrey Network.

The film chronicles the journey of one man as he transforms himself from an average guy into the most loved man of all time…Santa Claus. Including bleaching his hair and going to Santa school, he completely submerses himself into the lifestyle and persona. OWN viewers follow him as he rings bells, waves at the children along the parade route and spreads the magic of Christmas.

Along this journey we meet Santa experts, historians and fanatics who help us all to understand the history of Santa in America, including the impact the Civil War had on our current traditions. A holiday special like no other! Check out the trailer.
