If you haven’t been catching the 3–hour blocks on OWN each Sunday, you really are missing some of the finest OWN programming. Every week I tune in and find myself changed by the time the show ends. In fact, I have a hard time deleting the programs because like an old reference book, I want to keep them tucked away as constant reminders of the woman I strive to be.
This past month I have been going through a bit of a spiritual growing spurt. Everything has seemed a little harder and I haven’t always valued my OWN worth….which is funny. If you recall WORTH was my New Year’s Resolution word. Should have known the lessons would hit with a force. But that is okay. I am grateful for the journey and value each and every lesson. I mention this because in some strange way OWN’s Super Soul Sunday has seemed to be a part of my journey. It has opened my eyes and allowed me to dig deeper into open wounds all of which is important in spiritual growth. It has become a true breathing space…my chance to revitalize my spirit.
Although my sister and I have always dreamed of sitting under Oprah’s Oak trees, I am content (for now) in watching her soulful interviews with amazingly resilient and insightful guests under those very trees. Most of the guests are associated or teach us something that is covered in the documentary film that is highlighted within the 3-hour block of time. All of that with a little breathing space and innovative SoulPancake clips that leave you smiling!
Honestly….some of the best television programming around. As we always say, “Change the channel, change your life.” It is seriously that easy with OWN. Catch New York Time’s Best Seller, Daniel Pink and the film “Lost in Woonstock” starting this Sunday at 11/10C on OWN. Don’t miss a moment!
