The miracle detectives take us on another amazing journey with firefighter, John Morabito. He tells of an incredible story of survival for him and his brother on 9/11. At the end of that horrible day, he headed home over the Brooklyn Bridge. Midway he encountered a construction worker who joined him on his walk. The construction worker commented how he had seen the whole thing and God has a bigger plan for him. He told the exhausted firefighter that he needed to tell his story and keep the memories of the others alive. Once over the bridge, John met up with police officers handing out water. He mentioned he’d like to get some water to the construction worker whom he had walked with. The officers inform him that they watched him walk alone over the bridge…all alone. So he asks himself “was I just walking with Jesus?”
Randall is TOTALLY convinced. No questions asked. It doesn’t take much for him. Dr. V still skeptical being that manifestations or hallucinations can be brought out with trauma or grief. This led the miracle detectives to look into premonitions associated with 9/11. Dr V had a hard time seeing God’s hand in 9/11 and reminds us of how we all try to find deep meaning in things that occur. However, this led Randall to question “can an event that was born of terror, also produce miracles?”
As for this story…..I am leaning with Randall on this one! I don’t think it was Jesus, but clearly someone came to him that he needed….perhaps an angel. However, Dr. V has me when it comes to God and 9/11. I have a hard time believing God would hand picked a few while so many others died. I just can’t wrap my head around that. It was hard to re-watch the images of 9/11. It brings back that overwhelming sorrow along with feelings of gratefulness and appreciation. The responders and the survivors all have such incredible stories of courage and kindness, however I believe a hero lies within each of us.
This makes me wonder……are angels among us all the time, or do we believe what we need to believe in order to get through the hard times?
What an amazing story, I believe that was Jesus walking with you John, God Bless you and thank-you so much for sharing this story. I believe so much in God and the miracles only HE can show us. I feel blessed to have God in my heart and now you have just reinforced my belief in Miracles. Thank-You, God is working through you.
