Turning Your Chores into a Home Workout

 

Feeling like you never have a chance to work out because you are ALWAYS doing household chores. Well…here is a reminder that will help you resent the tasks even less. Each chore burns calories, the question is how much? 

Here is a good starter list for you measured in calories per ½ hour: 

  • Weeding the garden – 120
  • Digging in the garden – 320
  • Making the beds – 140
  • Scrubbing the bathtub – 200
  • Ironing – 70
  • Vacuuming – 100
  • Painting/decorating – 175
  • Carrying groceries – 200

So, not that this takes the sting out of having to do chores, but it sure adds a little ray of positivity to the daunting tasks.
