Here is a good starter list for you measured in calories per ½ hour:
- Weeding the garden – 120
- Digging in the garden – 320
- Making the beds – 140
- Scrubbing the bathtub – 200
- Ironing – 70
- Vacuuming – 100
- Painting/decorating – 175
- Carrying groceries – 200
So, not that this takes the sting out of having to do chores, but it sure adds a little ray of positivity to the daunting tasks.
