About Charlie Sheen’s mess – It’s tragic….the life that he is making for himself and his kids.  “Are we doing a disservice?” Gayle asks.  Well, the media is watching the train wreck and not looking away…but this is our culture.  It’s not surprising.  And with Charlie, it’s sad.  I wonder if he will get it – if the department moves forward, he’s going to have to have supervised visits with a court appointed monitor…court appearances…and people deciding what kind of custody rights he will have – because yes, when you decide to party, drug, and live a lifestyle that is dangerous to young kids….well, then the state steps in and helps protect those kids.  Wow…I wonder if he will get it now….

About Charlie’s Twitter Account and Tweets – Almost 1 million followers in less than 24 hours….because people can’t turn away from a this…not because he’s famous necessarily.  We are all addicted to drama….and he is the drama of choice this week.  Also, his first tweet was not about his kids, Gayle.  It was actually a photo of one of the “goddesses” and him with the caption, “You Choose” as he was holding chocolate milk and she was holding a bottle of Naked Juice.  I wonder if just after he hit TWEET, the police knocked at the door…I’m sure he didn’t see it coming.

About Charlie’s message to Brooke – Reaching out via TV morning shows with a plea to talk and to find out where his sons are.  So….just a note.  I don’t really know who is a good parent…and who is not…but I think that Charlie’s recent behavior and tirades on television made it easy for a judge or a social worker to have enough concern to take the kids.  I only hope they are with family … and are safe from everyone concerned.

About Galliano’s Anti-Semitic rant – Again, drunk drugged behavior.  What an ass.  Gayle played the tape (the first time that I had actually seen the footage) and he is just a jerk.  Dior had no choice….what is with these people who think that they are above accountability? 

About Christina Aguilera as a drunk passenger and spending the night in jail – “A public welfare and safety issue…” said the police at a press conference for why she was taken in.  Oh…did we see it coming when she flubbed the words at the Superbowl?  Is this the beginning of her downward spiral?  Lordy…I hope not.  Do people in Hollywood think that the only way to get noticed is to have a drug or alcohol induced meltdown?  Paris and Nicole.  Brittany.  Lindsay.  Sheen.  I mean, really…we may all be watching but aren’t they more of a liability or are their dramas really money makers?  Oh…if so, this is sad.

About Mike Tyson and Taking on Tyson – Did you know that Mike has a show on Animal Planet?  Well, he does!  Mike Tyson loves pigeons….who knew.  So, in Taking on Tyson, we get to watch Mike in a different light.  Gayle tries to bring out his personal side….I see her trying to make me like him….but yeah….no.  It just doesn’t work.  I’m sorry he was bullied as a kid.  Gayle asks, “How has it (prison)changed you?”  “The person I was at the time, it gave me great motivation to achieve…I was angry…,” but he’s no longer that person, he says.  “I’m in progress…”  Aren’t we all…

About co-ed dorm rooms – Rutgers University is launching a pilot program.  Gay students have been asking for this and in response…Rutgers has come up with this pilot program – girls and boys can be roomies if they want.  Gayle is a little on the fence.  She doesn’t like the idea in theory….but understands the reasoning behind it.  So….love it or hate it…it’s a direction we are moving in…

About breast milk ice cream – Apparently, the FDA doesn’t like the idea of ice cream being made of it so the plug has been pulled on a new ice cream line, “Baby GaGa.” This gives Gayle the op to confide that she tasted hers when she was nursing and was not impressed.  THIS is why she’s America’s best friend….she can tell us anything!  Even if it’s TMI.

About bullying today – Kate Snow showed up to talk about the new NBC Dateline special – “My Kid Would Never…”on bullying.  Looking at teenage kids and how they behave when they don’t think anyone is watching….but their parents REALLY ARE watching.  This should be interesting.  Some of the things that Kate points out….“The bystander is crucial…even if you can just say, “I don’t like what you are saying” this makes a difference in the situation.”  It turns out, how the adults react also make a difference.  I always knew the little ones were watching…we are all role models…yes, even you Charlie Sheen…(scary, I know).

About GMA’s story on household itmes made in the USA – Good Morning America has a story about what is in your house that is made in the USA?  It’s a story that might wake you up to buying habits.  I mean…I buy local at my farmers market and even searched out local farms to buy from….and feel great about it.  Guess I should be looking for the Made in the USA stamp too…I’d like to make a difference too…I now have to go turn over some furniture….and see where it came from.
