Now that a little time has passed and OWN is looking to fine tune their programming, we are curious to hear what you – the viewers – think about the shows on OWN.

Here are some of our thoughts…

• One of the BIGGEST issues is that the programming is not being updated properly.  TiVos and DVRs are not able to distinguish between the new and repeat shows.  Many of us depend on our TiVos to capture new shows…it is frustrating when they are unable to.
• Once the network has us hooked on the show, they end leaving us with nothing in its place.  It’s like being in no-man’s land.  It’s like a boyfriend who you really like and you think he likes you, but then he just disappears.  Eventually, you are going to find another boyfriend…
• Docu-series are too short!  Stretch them out a few more weeks.  Some of them should just be on-going shows.  All of them have been fantastic.  Can’t wait for the new ones.  Where are they?  We can handle more than one at a time…
• TOO many reruns.  Dedicated viewers have already seen them.  With nothing “new” left to view, it can be frustrating and I’m turing the channel. 
• When looking at future programming…OWN needs to please pull in something other than intense topic shows (like Mystery Diagnosis and ATF)  and reality shows (BTS, Your OWN show).  Those are fun, but we need diversity in our NEW favorite network.  LOVE LOVE LOVE the cooking shows.  Can’t wait for Rosie…but how about a family comedy or daytime soap?  I hear AMC and OLTL are available. 
• Best suggestion – have theDailyOWN be the central BLOG…all OWN…all the time!  Once OWN let’s us know the schedule, we will keep the OWN viewers updated…with schedules, reviews, recaps and more. 

We know it takes time to build a great network and we are asking viewers to unite with us and be a part of this process.  We are all here to help the Oprah Winfrey Network be a HUGE success….  Hopefully OWN will be “the people’s” network…since Oprah is our OWN royalty.    Join us in the movement to help Oprah make her OWN dream successful.  Let’s give back to the woman who has given so much to the world.
